§ 01 What Retail Security Group buys
Retail Security Group is a refurbisher. The equipment it buys goes to the bench, gets tested, and returns to service, so it is interested in the working hardware most liquidators overlook:
- Hard security tags, in both the Sensormatic and Checkpoint ecosystems (AM 58 kHz and RF 8.2 MHz)
- EAS detection systems and pedestals
- Tag detachers and label deactivators
- Pins, lanyards, and related components
- Complete systems being decommissioned during remodels or closures
§ 02 Who this is for
Retailers usually replace or retire EAS equipment because of technology upgrades, changes in store layouts, or store closures. That equipment, much of it still in good working condition, has a second life ahead of it. If any of these describe you, there is a conversation worth having:
- A chain closing some or all of its locations
- A distribution center or warehouse closing with tagged inventory or stored equipment
- A retailer switching EAS ecosystems and retiring the old hardware
- A brand reset leaving pallets of surplus tags
- A liquidator holding EAS equipment outside its usual categories
§ 03 How it works
Call 1-888-909-TAGS or email info@securitytagstore.com with what you have: the type of tags or systems, an approximate quantity, and where the equipment is located. Photos help. Retail Security Group also provides professional removal services for EAS systems and equipment, so if the hardware is still bolted to the floor, ask about removal on the same call.
Hard tags are engineered for thousands of use cycles, and the RF and AM electronics inside typically do not age out. What you are holding is not scrap. Bought, bench tested, and refurbished, it stays out of the landfill and goes back into rotation on another retailer’s floor.
Retail Security Group Inc. has been refurbishing and supplying EAS equipment from Boca Raton, Florida since 2004. Buying equipment instead? The catalog lives at securitytagstore.com.
